Hello Playa Families!

 

Welcome to week 28!

 

Thank you for helping us celebrate Read Across America spirit week. The students/staff had a lot of fun honoring Dr. Seuss and the love of literacy. Your support is appreciated. Here are the top classes with the most participation for the week:

  • Crazy Sock Day-Rm. 16 -96% participation
  • Hat Day-Rm. 2-100% participation
  • Wacky Wednesday-Rms. 5,7&16 -100% participation; Honorable Mention Rms. 4,6,15-96%
  • Oh! The Places We Go-Rm. 13-100% participation (4th Graders)

*Most participation for the week is Rm. 16-96% participation
Jog-A-Thon 2019 is right around the corner! Start getting in shape for our annual jog-a-thon on March 22nd. This event makes it possible for FOP to continue providing for Physical Education, Arts, Teacher Supplies, Field Trips and our Garden Education Program Packets went home with your child. All students have a chance to win prizes for participating this year.. Don't forget to gather those pledges!  Friends & family can pledge per lap, or just a set amount. Volunteers will be needed for the event.  If interested, please contact info@friendsofplaya.org.
 
Monthly Giving: Thank you for giving during Meals in a can month. All families are encouraged to participate by donating (soups, stews, chili, etc…). Please bring in your donation and drop it off in one of the labeled tubs near the auditorium bench.
 
Please calendar our upcoming events:

  • Friday is School Spirit Wear;
  • Tues. March 19th is Open House:STEAM Science Fest./Food Truck Night/Book Fair;
  • Friday, March 22nd-Annual Jog A Thon.
