After School

Youth Services

Welcome to YDP's Art show! Students are given monthly activities to explore their creative side. This month's theme was insects! Students had the chance to learn about many different bugs including butterflies, beetles, dragonflies, and more! All the while they were exploring different ways to create art using all kinds of different materials. Although it got messy, all had a blast! In the end, students put their creative minds together, alongside their coaches, to put on an art show to showcase their beautiful art! The students were able to gain knowledge of a few of earth's creatures, different kinds of art, and how to put on a great showcase!

Mad ScienceThese hands-on, one-hour science programs are themed around a particular area of science and include such topics as rocketry, magnets, polymers and even the science of toys. Children engage in exciting hands-on activities, watch spectacular demonstrations, participate in inquiry-based discussions and take home things that they have made themselves like model rockets, periscopes, Mad Science putty and more.  Register here.
