    SAS Enrollment Information

    SAS enrollment process is new for 2019-2020.  SAS Enrollment deadline for the 2019-2020 school year is November 9, 2018.  Please view this page for more details.


    Please Complete School Lunch application

    Make sure to fill out your school lunch application online here!  The school needs 100% of students to return an application, even if your child doesn't purchase food from the cafeteria.

    Snack Cart

    Snack Cart is available after school every Friday!  Proceeds benefit the grade hosting each week for things like field trips and assemblies. Please supply healthy snacks from this approved list.

    Lost & Found

    The Lost & Found section is located right outside the auditorium.  Be sure to check there if your child is missing items like books, backpacks, jackets, etc.  All items unclaimed will be donated at the end of the year!

    As the proud principal of Playa del Rey, I must tell you our school is a wonderful place for students to begin their journey of a well-rounded education.     Principal's Weekly Message Posted 10/20/18

    Hello Playa Families!

    Welcome to week 11:
    LAUSD changed procedures for ALL volunteers willing to volunteer at the school.  For more details read original memo here or visit the LAUSD volunteer information page.


    1)  Apply online at
         - Select “LAUSD parent/guardian” or “LAUSD community member”
         - Click on “Register” to create a new account.
    2)  Once a new account has been created, the applicant will receive an email to complete the registration process, including the creation of a password.
    3)  Fill out an online application.  A hard copy of the form and a Volunteer Commitment Form must be printed, signed and delivered to the school.
    4)  Obtain TB clearance from your healthcare.  Attachments E, F & G must also be filled out, signed and delivered to the school.
    5)  Fingerprinting is now required for all volunteers when duties require contact
         with students.  The following are approved LAUSD locations:

    ** Continuing volunteers need to renew their application every school year.  A TB clearance is not necessary until after the 4th year.

    Playa del Rey students in Del Rey Spelling Bee! Posted 9/21/18

    Good Luck: Vittorio Piubeni (5th Gr) and Zoe Smith (4th Gr) were selected to represent our school in the Del Rey Spelling Bee! Come support them on Sunday, October 21st at Glen Alla Park in Marina del Rey.  Competition starts at 11:30am.
